Très long, très lent, très plate. Même si le film est supposé être véridique, on embarque pas. Même malgré l'impressionnante distribution, le film ne lève jamais. Assez déçu pour un film donc je viens de découvrir la version française après plus de 10 ans.

Très bonne réalisation de Georges Clooney, c'est assez impressionnant pour un début! Mais pour ce qui est de l'histoire, rien de mémorable, un divertissement de salon, un point c'est tout. Et dans ce cas c'est très bien comme ça. La performance des acteurs est très honorable (Rockwell est crédible, juste assez nuancé et Clooney et Berrymore sont fidèles à eux-mêmes) Mais celle qui s'en tire le mieux est sans aucun doute : Julia Roberts!!! Dans un rôle inhabituel, beaucoup plus cru. Elle joue une femme fatale extraordinaire, empreint du charisme infernal de Roberts. Les inconditionnels de ses mille et une comédies romantique n'appréciront peut-être pas, mais, à mon avis, bien que secondaire, c'est un des ses meilleurs rôles depuis Erin Brockovich!!! Mais louez ce film sans vous faire d'attentes...

C'est un bon scénario et l'histoire nous montre un peu les deux facettes de Chuck Barris. D'un côté, on a la version du meurtrier et de l'autre, on a le Chuck Barris aliéné mental. Alors, as-t-il imaginé tout ça où est-il réellement l'autheur de tout ses crimes. La question demeure en suspend et c'est ce qui fait d'ailleurs le charme de ce petit film sans prétention. La réalisation de Clooney est bien dirigé, il y a de très beaux décors. Par contre, le tout est un peu long, il y a quelques longueurs. Sam Rokwell est sans doute la prochaine star de Holywood, il a un talent fou. Le reste de la distribution ets tout autant rafraîchissante. Un film qu'on oublie vite, mais c'est tout de même prometteur pour une première oeuvre. Pas de quoi se tapper sur les cuisses, mais c'est tout de même amusant et parfois même rigolos.

Vraiment pas banal comme scénario même si je ne crois pas un mot du côté 'espion' de Chuck Barris. C'est divertissant à souhait par contre. Ça fera une bonne location vidéo. J'aurais bien aimé être capable de séparer le vrai du faux dans l'histoire mais je crois que c'est impossible. Bonne prestation de Clooney et Roberts. Même chose pour Rockwell et Barrymore. Même si ce n'est pas mauvais, c'est un film qu'on oubliera facilement.

Débuts prometteurs en tant que réalisateur pour George Clooney! Et bien sûr avec un scénario de Charlie Kaufman, pas moyen de se tromper! Mention toute spéciale pour la mise-en-scène et les mouvements de caméra! Wow, comment ils ont fait ça! Les acteurs se défendent très bien, sauf Clooney, qui semble vraiment au bout du rouleau! Mais ça vaut absolument le détour!

Les performances de Drew Barrymore et Sam Rockwell sont bonne mais l'histoire présente des longueurs. Georges Clonney est décevant et Brat Pitt, un figurant. Pour ce qui est de Julia Robert, c'est assez moyen. Les décors et l'amibiance des années 50-60 et 70 sont bien. Je suppose que pour un premier film, c'est pas trop mal.

Clooney a relevé le pari d'un première réalisation et même plus. L'histoire est intéressante (il y a tout de même quelques longueurs) les performances d'acteurs sont très bonnes. Clooney a décidé de s'amuser avec des amis pour sont premier film et c'est tout à fait réussi. La direction photo est très intéressante et quelques longs plans séquences et certaines transitions sont incroyablement bien dirigées. On sent l'influence Soderberg dans ce premier film de Clooney mais ce n'est qu'une influence pas une copie. Très bon premier film pour Clooney.

La réalisation de CLOONEY est assez experte, même si le récit semble surchargé d'effets de styles plus ou moins appropriés. On a sent qu'il a voulu nous en mettre pleins la vue, et il sent tire mieux que je ne l'aurait cru. Le film est réussi dans l'ensemble, mais bien que tous les ingrédients y soient, la pâte semblent ne pas lever assez pour en faire un grand film. Il reste un très bon divertissement toutefois. On y voit une JULIA ROBERTS en pleine forme qui, malgré un rôle secondaire, offre une prestation des plus colorés. Elle surprend, car ce n'est pas son genre de rôles, et disons-le, elle excelle!!! Les scènes où elle apparaît sont les meilleures, et on a toujours plus soif de sa présence. Avec un rôle aussi minuscule, elle réussit une fois de plus à effacer tous les autres acteurs de l'écran. Il n'y en a que pour elle!! DREW BARRYMOORE est aussi très bien, mais la TORNADE ROBERTS l'emporte avec le reste sur son passage...

Très bon film tant au niveau de la forme que du contenu. Clooney nous épate par sa grande maitrise des effets de couleurs, de décors et de cadrages. Comme premier film c'est un bon départ. Sam Rockwell offre une performance remarquable. Je vous conseille d'ailleurs de louer "The Green Mile" et "Galaxy Quest" afin de mieux apprécier les prestations de ce jeune acteur dont il ne faudrait surtout pas oublier le nom.

Excellent film!!! Julia Roberts est époustouflante et égale à elle même (on en veut encore!!) Une vraie star!!! La meilleure actrice au monde!! Drew Barrymore surprent et crève totalement l'écran!! Notre cher George Clooney est non seulement un grand acteur, mais ce dernier nous démontre ses talents de réalisateur!!! Un scénario de béton, des bon acteurs (trices) un film à voir sans tarder!!!

Pour ceux qui aiment les biographies, à na pas manquer. Une pléisade d'acteurs intéressants, des grands noms comme Clooney, Drew Barrymore, Julia Roberts, ils jouent tous leur rôle à merveille. Il y a de l'action, c'est drôle par moment et dramatique aussi. Rockwell est fantastique, sa performance est sublime, pour les amateurs de ce genre...
