Mes attentes étaient très grandes. Beaucoup trop long... le scénario se résume en si peu de choses, je suppose que c'est un choix du réalisateur. Contente de l'avoir vu mais vraiment lent et long... on peut avoir envie de terminer à mi-chemin...

Après "Le violon rouge", les attentes étaient grandes sinon pleines d'espoir. Tout est magnifique dans ce film... sauf le scénario qui tient sur 2 lignes. J'ai cru que la finale avait été renforcée au montage, afin d'étoffer le tout... mais peine perdue. Je suis sorti du film en m'interrogeant longuement, voir si un détail ne m'avait pas échappé: non.

Une merveille de François Girard (Le violon Rouge) Quels paysages, costumes, douceur de chaque geste, crédibilité dans toutes les scènes. Moi qui n'est pas fervent de films d'amour, chaque image fut un délice à mes yeux et la musique si douce et touchante à mes oreilles. Très beau film dont les critiques n'arrivent pas à la hauteur de sa qualité réelle. C'est lent, car se déroulant sur plusieurs années, sans être trop long pour autant. Loin des films d'action américains, de toute évidence. Ce film m'a rappelé étrangement "La Fontaine" avec Hugh Jackman. BRAVO à FRANÇOIS GIRARD qui confirme par cette seconde oeuvre marquante, son génie qui sera certainement remarqué par les grandes compagnies de films qui voudront désormais retenir ses services, sans aucun doute.

Excellent film romantique, mais on est a des années lumières de Titanic et de Lady Chaterley. Le film a un caractère asiatique. Peut paraitre long si vous n'êtes pas cinéphile.

Tout simplement médiocre. Un film qui commence assez raide et c'est trop théâtral! Les acteurs (même si je l'ai aimes comme acteurs) dans ce film sont pourri, le seul point positif même si je l'ai pas fini, j'ai aimé le visuel et les paysages.

Je ne sais pas si c'est parce que j'avais déjà lu le livre, mais il me semble que c'était meilleur à lire qu'à voir. Quoiqu'il faut dire que c'est quand même très audacieux de mettre cette histoire à l'écran, car tout se passe davantage entre les lignes.

Très ennuyant... Le rôle principal est mal joué et m'a été très antipathique. Je ressens même de l'impatience devant des scènes mauvaises ou invraisemblables. On dirait que le scénario est forcé et veut se donner un certain style qu'il n'atteint pas.

Ce film n'est pas agréable à voir. Même si certains beaux paysages nous caressent les rétines, le visage de l'acteur principal annule l'effet d'emerveillement pour se transformer en dégout absolu. Cet acteur a aucune émotion sauf l'indifférence morbide. Ce film est excessivement ennuyant. J'ai même poussé quelques rires platoniques au grand mépris des vieille madames de 100 ans qui semblaient aimé ce long métrage.

Comme un manège, ce film m'a transporté littéralement, tant par son enchantement dû aux paysayges que par la trame sonore qui nous berce. Tant de douceur se dégage des scènes, les thèmes de l'érotisme et la sensualité touchés avec une finesse sans pareil , nous amenant tantot a la réflexions tantot a la contemplation. Déchirement du coeur, passions, désirs, parfum de fleur, une douceur pour l'âme.

Je suis sorti de ce film envoûté. Il est lent à merveille, romantique à souhait, exotique jusqu’à l’ensorcellement, superbe pour ses images, son atmosphère et son accompagnement musical. Les dialogues (parcimonieux) sont parfaits! Depuis le violon rouge, je suis devenu un fan inconditionnel de François Girard. Le jeu des deux acteurs principaux est excellent, le dépaysement procuré par ces expéditions lointaines dans un pays encore féodal (le Japon n’avait pas encore vécu sa révolution de l’ère Meiji) est parfaitement crédible et justifie amplement le comportement de Henri le voyageur et son envoûtement. Et son partenaire commercial japonais (le gars avec la queue de cheval) est un samouraï plus vrai que nature. Je lui donne 10 sans hésiter une seconde. Les amateurs de films dits « d’action » ou autres thèmes à la mode devraient s’abstenir de voir un film de cette qualité qui est tout en sensibilité, cela leur permettrait de ne pas le dénigrer inutilement. Quant à déterminer si ce film respecte le roman dont il est tiré ou pas, à mon avis ce n’est pas important, car on sait d’avance qu’il peut y avoir une grande différence entre un roman et son adaptation au cinéma. Et alors?

Quand elle est bien jouée, c'est comme si on entendait jouer le silence! C'est terriblement difficile la musique blanche!" - Alessandro Barrico, sur le livre "Soie" On ne peut pas apprécier ce film correctement sans connaitre les intentions de l'auteur. Bre, film rend superbement ce qu'il souhaitait voulu. P. S. Le livre prend 3 heures GROS max à lire, ça vaut la peine avant de voir le film.

La musique transmet plus d'émotion que le film lui même. Le dialogue et la narration sont nuls, l'histoire est diffuse on ne sent aucune émotion ni compassion pour les personnages. Seul moment émouvant c'est vers la fin du film, mais ça aura été tellement ennuyant tout au long, qu'en se sent à peine ébranlé. J'ai vraiment pas aimé et j'ai eu des fou rires tout au long a cause de la narration niveau primaire, pas étonnant que les - de 12 ans ont noté 10.

Il faut savoir capter la poésie dans les gestes, les rituels et les regards pour apprécier la magnificence de ce film. Tout est grandiose que ce soit les somptueux paysages, l'authenticité des décors et l'éventail de costumes tous en nuances subtiles sans oublier la musique envoûtante. Beaucoup de profondeur. Le film invite à continuer la réflexion... Le déchirement intérieur que vivent chacun de leur côté les deux (Hélène et Hervé) me rejoint. Images et musique magnigiques. Quelques difficulté à me situer dans le temps: les principaux personnages ne semblaient pas vieillir, mais c'est toute une vie qui nous a été racontée. Bravo à François Girard! C'est pas que c'est si mauvais, c'est surtout que c'est vraiment pas bon. Le personnage principal est mal joué, l'intrigue inexistante, les dialogues sont trop convenus, et pour les quelques punches qui existent, ce film est beaucoup trop long alors que le propos aurait pu être tenu en moitié moins de scènes. Les images sont superbes par contre, mais François Girard a vraiment merdé cette adaptation.

Ayant lu le livre la journée d'avant, je m'attendais déjà à ce que le film soit vraiment plate, mais un travail à l'école m'obligeait à aller le voir, alors c'est ce que j'ai fait... À mon plus grand ennui. En effet... Ce fut un long 1h40. Bon point: le film respecte en majorité le livre, mauvais point: Le livre était à mourir d'ennui selon moi.

Je n'ai pas aimé principalement par le jeu du comédien Michael Pitt. Du moins suffisamment pour ne pas apprécier tout le reste. Un film tout en beauté! Les paysages, les images en général, la musique sont exceptionnelles. N'ayant pas lu le livre, j'ai trouvé la fin imprévue et intéressante. Un film à voir!

Ce film est son titre. C'est de la soie pure du début à la fin. Si le spectateur reste assis à se laisser caresser par cette soie du début à la fin, il en sort l'esprit imprégné de douceur, le corps détendu. Comme après une séance de taï chi. Ici, je ne peux pas parler d'un film qui génère de l'émotion, mais une sensation. Une expérience cinématographique hors de l'ordinaire. Bravo et encore bravo.
