In all honesty, I found MWB very disappointing. I found myself trying to laugh just to make my roomate not regret for having brought me to see this "canadian" movie. Maybe its simply because im not from ontario or the prairies, but I couldnt relate, and though I thought the beavers were a nice touch, the story was depressing and underdeveloped (actually, I guess that was a good thing) , the curling was barely evident, and Leslie Nielsen was worse than usual (take a hint, Les, retire!) and do we need any more proof that Paul Gross cannot act? So he has a nice butt! I have some earth-shattering news for all of you out there: nice butts do not equal good movies, (even if it IS a canadian one) I just expected more than beer guzzling and low-sperm count (how lame is that?) dudes who scream "JESUS! " as they climax. Mr. Gross, we are not amused. Gimme USA potty humour any day over this piece of canadian crap. Ps. I am still trying to figure out why they put so many ads for this on during the olympics. I went from beaming pride after whoopin our southern friends at hockey, to absolute shame after seeing this movie. God save Canadian cinema, cuz Paul Gross sure can't.
