As excellent as movies like this get nowadays and a magnificent performance from Hugh Jackman, Ian Mcellan, and Patrick Stewart the action, plot, and comic book roots are nothing less than perfection in this fantastic adaptation of everyone's favorite team of mutants. And perhaps the best Superhero movie to come out in years a masterpiece and a must see!

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
Nonsensical twaddle aimed at kids. Has no educational value whatsoever and has no real value as a series of visuals. Mindless conflict resolution that relies on higher and higher escalations of violence. Embarassingly bad scripts that sound like they were created by brain damagaed mobsters. A great tool for IQ challenged comic book emprasarois to enlarge their already grossly engrossed wallets, already inflated by an unceasing cascade into the kid market place of poorly drawn over stylized pap relentlessly over a bunch of decades. Really crap. [...]

Awesome! I love it. I've never read the comics so I don't really know how it compares to them. I only wanted to watch it because Hugh Jackman was in it, but I was very pleased with it. Two thumbs up!

This is good mindless entertainment as one would expect from a comic book plot. The special effects are done well and the actors are well chosen to fit their predictably flat characters.

Great Movie. Just saw it about 4 days ago. I really liked the movie. My favorite X-Men were Cyclops ond Wolverine. I haven't seen the second movie yet so I don't know if Wolverine finds out who he was before the 15 years of his life that he remembers. I give it a 10 and want to see the next movie soon. Love it!

X-men movie is really exciting, but there isn't enough character in it. In the televation, the mutant are much more than in movie. All those characters need to gain a place in x2. I hope x2 is better than x1.

I loved this movie so much, my friend was begging me to see it so I watched the first one and I absolutely loved it. My favorite was Hugh Jackman. What can I say, he's cute, funny, built and a great actor to add. He is definitely one of my favorite actors ever! I am definitely buying this movies when it comes out. I would just love even more if I had an autographed picture of Hugh Jackman. He is just my favorite. If you haven't seen this movie you have to go now, like right now at this second. It gives you that effect of you never wanna leave and your at the edge of your seat. It is that good!!! If you haven't seen it, go see it right now!

The show is fantastic!!! It is exciting, intresting, and has very nice graphics. I love Wolverine and Cyclops because they are very handsome, strong, and has the most intresting mutant powers to me. I don't really like Magneto as he is a bad guy. {I HOPE I GET TO SEE X-MEN 2}.

The best comic book/video game movie adaptation ever! A perfectly cast cast! Action is amazing. Storyline is excellent. Characters are well developed. Pretty much flawless movie. The second one looks even better (Nightcrawler, Colossus, Beast, who could go wrong with these characters?) What a great movie.

Very good movie. Not to be miss. The story revolves around the character developpement between wolverine and rogue. Of course there is the great Ian mackellan who plays magneto. Also, fan of hong kong movies will enjoy the wirework of Corey Yuen.

It was a good movie But the only thing that was bugging me about the movie, is Rogue, Strom and Jean A.K.A Marvel Girl. 1) Rogue it's say's in her bio. That she is surrposed to be a beautiful Southern Belle young woman weach is very very sexy independent with a feline- attiude. In the movie she wasn't sexy at all in the movie she supposed to look way better than that, Anna is a pretty girl in all, but they should of got a more beautiful woman to play Rogue, But she was good at playing Rogue, but she didn't have that Rogue feeling she didn't have Rogue sexy southern voice the body the sex appeal and she need more independence that feline- attiude the vibe and Rogue wasn't that damn shy she was loud but lonely tough with a kick ass body. And it would have been alot better if she had her super strenght and flgiht in X- men 2 but I don't think thats going to happen you know I think they can make Anna alot more sexier like give a better make over to give her that good Rogue vibe/look they can pull it off but it they can't find another hot chick. 2) Storm should of been taller and she didn't have that many part what the hell did they do to Storm I mean she surrpose to be and Independent woman of leadership with strong confident but what they done to her. Holly Berry is a really great actress she could of done better than that the only reason she was a bad Storm is because they gave her small parts. She said in the vibe issue she would like to know more about this character Storm and maybe she can play her better in the next move, and that they will give her more part she said I can't work with little lines but the spotlight was all over Wolfarine doesn't it surrpose to be about all the X- men I mean come on its saids X-MEN!!! Not WOLFAWINE!!! I know I never read any of the comics but I heard of X- men before is what Holly Berry said. 3) Jean Grey Don't you guys think that Jean was a little bit to old for Scott aleast they should of made her a little young or get a younger female or get an older Scott to mach her age.

I just loved this movie. I was the comic book fan and I loved the tv show. My favorite character is Rogue, in the cartoon she is HOT!!! Very good adaptation. The only thing that I didn't like about the movie is the fact that they didn't make Rogue look like a babe like she is in the cartoon, they could have picked a better actress. Other than that it's A MUST SEE!!!

Excellent movie, every actors are great except Hale Berry. Who gave her this role, she is one of the crapiest actress I've ever seen. She is good only in bitch role as in Flintstones and Swordfish.

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Sure, it is not exactly the same as the comic strip but niether was the Superman movies and I don't think Spiderman will be eactly the same as well. I read that the movie was created with people who have never seen the comic series at all and that it would only use the series as a guide for developing the characters, eg looks, attitudes, history, good vs bad etc... Anyway I just bought the DVD. Excellent!!

I remember reading these comics (especially when I worked in a comic book store), but to tell you I'm in love with the movie would be a lie. It's really good, but it lacks a certain flow. To give them credit, it's tough to translate comics into movies. The effects, the characters, great, but the depth of the pain was missing. Hugh Jackman was fantastic, as is Patrick Stewart (of course, goes without saying). Worth a watch or two, but I hope they do better with the sequel, I assume there's going to be a sequel so they can sell the rest of the leftover action figures.
