This movie is a fictionalization of the events leading up to the formation of Israel. It documents the political differences of those that wanted to force the matter by bringing large numbers of Jews to Palestiniana and those that wanted to use terrorism as a tool. While Newman and Saint and all the other actors are good in their roles, it failed to completely draw me in. Definitely a good movie for anyone interested in the real lives of people involved in this historical time. It also helps somewhat understand the ongoing situation in the Middle East.
