Definately one of the best movies this year. I thought Gary Oldman`s portrail was a magnificent melange of Uriah Heap and Hannibal Lectre. The story line was tight and yet easy to follow. Things seemed to happen because they were supposed to. Full marks for not including a sub - plot about the offended husband. I thought the scene where Joan Allen, also an excellent performance, tells the truth was not neccessary, we all knew she had not done "it". Not a poor performance from any one. Well worth the money. I will probably go and see it again.
