It was a shame this movie wasn't better. It took 4 actors at pivitol points in their careers and none of them could act their way out of this horrible movie. I really looked forward to this movie when it came out because of the people in it. Now these actors are not a draw at all anymore.

Remarkable movie! With such a strong cast and Ivan Reitman involved, how could a movie possibly go wrong? But the proof is on the screen, in spades. Consistently missing the comedic mark by a wide margin, Evolution has to be one of the most impressively disasterous "comedies" since the Lumieres were born. What the bloody hell is it doing back on the screen? I was under the impression all prints were destroyed and any mention of Evolution had been removed from history by the Ministry of Information.

A little touch of "Ghostbusters" uncanny disaster, but highly original Reitman humorous romantic heroics, though Orlando Jones as Duchovny's unfortunate partner and fellow scientist was made a bit too farcical. Definitely a sci-fi parody, that uses toilet type references to ridicule intellectual (and authoritarian) pretentiousness, maybe borrowing from Jonathan Swift who hated the conceited snobby characters of his times."Evolution" is also a neat satire about disruption of natural law in modern society.

I had to go see it just to view David's butt. It was a fun movie but I would wait for it to come out in the cheap theatre or in video.

I'm just glad it wasn't an "ORGANIC" experience! Good film, though. Lots of intelligent laughs, and good interaction between the actors. I guess you can say that it was "Head and Shoulders" above some of the other comedies out there!

All I would have to say is that the actors really did a great job. They did a wonderful job. Orlando Jones was the highlight of the film for me, he made it hilarious. I loved it!!!

A great movie. But what was up with the HEAD AND SHOULDER thing at the end? An advertisement. All the expences of the movie was basically paid by Head and Shoulders.

Tongue in cheek type humor... You'll enjoy the movie if your going for some laughs not a serious sci fi movie.

If you haven't gone to see this movie all I have to say is go see it. It's such a funny movie. When I went to see it I was in need of a good laugh and that was exacly what I got from it. David Dachovny and the others are almost always cracking some kind of joke that'll get you laughing. P.S. Go Head & shoulders (inside joke, you'll get it if you've seen the movie.).

The movie wasn't action packed, wasn't funny, wasn't scary I still have no clue what type of movie this was... I think it was like Adventure.

Naturally the draw of this movie, for me and many others is David Duchovny. He was a high point, not the total. Funny, fast-moving, silly slapstick. And DD teamed with a beautiful red-headed Dr. ? Ummmm. Being a sic-fi fan I have to recommend, but remember, there's a reason it's called science fiction, not science fact. Live long and no more flakes.

It's absolutely cool. Especialy David Duchovny. I did not expect this movie to be that good but it was. The coolest part from the movie is when Davi D. says:"Let's save the world! " The movie is really cool guys.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
This was very good!! But when you go and see it you cannot be expecting to much. Me when I saw it I was expecting a lot of comedy. I found that the begining of the movie was very long, arly any comedy or extra-terrestreals David Duchovny was very good and funny. The best part was near the end when the aliens could start breathing oxygen. Oslo was very funny. If he would't have been in this movie, it would have been boring. The story is still very good. This would be a great movie to see with your girlfriend or boyfriend or with your family. Even do I wrote every bad detail of the movie dosen't mean it was not good you still gotta go see it has soon has posible. The movie still has a lot of good points. I only took the bad points because there is to many good points. Anyways this is only my opinion. GO and see it and write your thoughts. You have to see the movie.

Call it GHOSTBUSTERS with aliens... Or The X-Smiles... Or MEN IN BLACK lite. Whatever you call EVOLUTION, that is how this movie will be remembered. Ivan Reitman blatantly rips off his greatest cinematic creation of the 80's, sprinkles in some CGI beasties and Farelly Brothers toilet humor and unleashes this Frankenstein creation upon the movie goer. The strange thing is... it works. It IS funny. You DO laugh. It's not perfect, it's not a classic but as comedies go it is no worse than what's already out there.

Although I'm not a big fan of sci-fi movies, I have to say that Evolution definitly made me forget exactly what sci-fi meant. The script made me forget that David Duchovny is a Bad actor and it also made me forget to critically watch the movie instead just have fun. It's funny although a lot of it are cheap gags that deserve cheap laughs, but nevertheless really loud laughs. If you are looking for a movie more for witty comedy, this movie is definitly not for you, but if you've had a bad day and just want to laugh, it's worth the price to see it on the big screen. Especially if your a Duchovny fan. Let's just say, he has a nice butt...

Well, the story is extremely poor and completely predictable and full of stereo types. I give it a score of 3 for the special effects only.

Surprisingly refreshing, with a Ghostbuster-esque feel. A good comedy with nice plot twist; I was afraid Duchovny would do yet another Mulder, but the character is far off enough. Good fx, good story, worth seeing.
