A.I. has every element to be a true masterpeice: good acting, great special effects, and, most importantly, an incredible story that had my GF crying for what seemed like hours, and actually managed to bring a tear to my eye... Simply, it's Pinnochio set in the future and much more plausible setting, with the added phylosophical aspect of Human/Robot relations. I could not find a single fault in this seemingly perfect movie. HOWEVER... About twenty minutes from the ending, Spielberg created one of the most dramatic scenes I have ever seen. Unfortunately, this excellent, if sad, ending is followed up by a string of events so out-of-context that it will pull all but the most open-minded audiences out of any emotion they may be experiencing. It gives the movie a more Disney-like feel, but, as you can see from many of these reviews, it can spoil the rest of the movie. I reccomend seeing it anyway; at worst, you can just close your eyes and mentally cut out the end.
