This supernatural action thriller was really different. Go see this movie with no expectations and maybe you'll be suprised.

Some parts of this movie were actually pretty good but overall it did not make any sense. The special effects were okay and the acting was okay but the plot was lame. It is a good thing I saw this free on TV or I would have given it much less than a 5 I think if I actually had to pay to watch this.

Why do we go watch movies? To be entertained? To see a nice story? To be dazzled by special effects? To be mesmerized by a plot you can't seem to predict? NONE of those points were achieved by watching that movie... At the end, the ony thing I could think of was: "... like... really? Wow! That sucked! Hard!"

Waste of time and $. Brutal movie. The old lady seen was the only thing closely interresting. The effects (were there any? ) were blah... Talk about a let down of a movie... DO not rent this movie, or even consider buying it. I gave it 3 stars... not sure why... 2 stars is probably more appropriate. Wolfman was better by a mile.

Here is a movie that had such potential, but failed to live up to anything worthwhile. The acting was wooden, and the story predictable. Paul Bettany was a good chose, and did the best he could with the script he was given. Granted, there were a few tense filled moments, but a sequel to this film would cause me much more prolonged tension!

The Australian, practiculary no-budget, supernatural thriller GABRIEL is the better film to LEGION. It is visually more interesting and thematically more complex in it's old-testament biblical meanings and upcoming prophecies. LEGION is badly scripted with moronic meandering dialogue that is extremely banal. Dennis Quaid gives a contemptious performance. The ending to LEGION is very similar to the ending in James Cameron's original TERMINATOR movie. The director was problay hoping for a supernatural biblical TERMINATOR style franchise? The mythology created in LEGION fails to capture the mythology created in the first 2 TERMINATOR movies. Horror for me in Hollywood has became a dead genre. It is all about gross CGI visual effects with cliched plotting and cliched banal characters. The last great horror movie for me was Alan Parker's ANGEL HEART. That film had disturbing imagery that played on the subconscious recesses of the mind with great performances from Robert De Niro and Mickey Rourke. The other great horror movies came out of the 70's with classics such as ROSEMARY'S BABY, the first and great THE EXORCIST along with the first chilling THE OMEN. These films relied on performance and detailed writing in plot and character. All horror films today rely on a bombardment of CGI visual effects with the lowest possible writing in story and character. It seems today's horror films are created by commitee in offices surrounded by marketing executives instead of been left to real filmmakers who don't listen to test screenings in shopping mall cinemas. The horror genre for me is dead and LEGION has put the final nails in the coffin!

Hard to figure out why so many people hate this movie, it was by no means horrible. Pretty thin plot but no thinner than movies like Night of the Living Dead or other movies where people are trapped and fighting zombies or whatever. Best use of wings in a fight I've seen on film.

This movie had a good idea although not a new one. I was entertained but I expected much more of a war than just some slow moving possessed people coming at them like zombies. Unlike other reviews I thought the acting was OK and certain parts of the movie are enough to redeem it overall. I saw it in a cheap theatre and that is about what it was worth or a rental. "The Prophecy" was a better movie but if you liked that one then give "Legion" a try.

I have to agree that people who give more than 2 as a note to that movie should be considered criminals just for making other people go and see it. This movie is a steal done by thiefs, do not go and see it, if you really want to, download!!!

Really not a good movie, if you are really into heaven and hell movies then this one is maybe worth renting, so many things that just didn't make sense really just kind of dumb.

The movie is at the start confusing but that was only for shock value , then they start the story as rel... movie 10 but if you was looking for just a blood bath movie then it is a 5 or so or less if you seen lots and lots of blood bath movies.

I thought it was a really cool and really different action flick. The horror is suprisingly good, the action is fantastic, the cast is perfect especially enjoyed seeing Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid, and Tyrese Gibson. Some of the movie I felt could have done with out and was more than a little dumb like a scene that to me was reminiscent of an old Chucky Horror movie. But hey who says this kind of movie has to be perfect. Epic check it out.

Same story as The Prophecy with Christopher Walken but a lot less interesting. Actors were decent but the story is a little skimpy on the details. I think most people didn't like it because kids and old people die and that God makes a mistake... oops CC.

Poorly written screenplay, laughable and poor storyline, bad acting... need I go further? The only saving grace is one fight scene between angels.

I don't believe in a 'Deity' for many good reasons but thought it was more realistic than the 'official' story. A story written in a book that has also been re-written far too many times to take anything into consideration. Catholicism conquered and rewrote the many truths throughout history forcing the bible down every tribe/indigenous peoples faces. Caused division/separation, murder, exile, and in the end forced conversion. Too many people are killed in the name of God. Interesting movie though because their was lots of violence and is just like real life when religion is concerned.

Very shallow story, but the premise was pretty interesting about God bringing doomsday because he doesn't believe in people anymore--not unlike what many people beleive will happen in 2012. The action scenes and graphics were alright, which somewhat compensated for the weak story.

This wasn't the worst movie I have ever seen... It had so much potential to be such a good movie (thats the only reason I gave it a 4) but, the buget wouln't allow it I guess. Disapointing! I kept waiting for something to happen but, it didn't. What's the matter in Hollywood these days?

Unrealistic from a Godly point of view, but had some great scenes. The battle between the Angles was cool, but the story line of God wanting to kill a child he created is wrong! Like the saying evil can't work against evil, neither can God work against His master plan. Great effects.

I'm usually very forgiving to fantasy movies that incorporate god-like symbology and visual images of winged people. I did set a very low bar for entertainment going into this one but sadly the movie was so poorly considered that it failed me, miserably...

Wow it was pretty good. I liked all the biblical references, and the fact that at the end it turns out god actually just sent angels to wipe out all humans as a test to see which angels actually loved and had mercy for the humans. It's got a very interesting plotline.

Uh... do they have minus something as rating? It was the worst movie ever! The script was bad and so cheezy and not relevant at all. Everytime they talk to each other, you can't just wait for them to finish. I was expecting to see an army of bad angels or monsters as they said something worse is coming but all we can see it's computerized flies and 3-4 wannabe zombies. Euh... oops, no I think i've seen the army, were those thousand and thousand of blurry wings? Lol. I think that the budget was missing. Also, the comeback battle lasted for 3 seconds, com'on, I wanted to see the combat of two fully geared angels! Gabriel got poked with the knife and that was it! Lol.

It is easy to point out the flaws in this flick, but instead I was impressed with the fact this movie actually had a plot that made you reflect and think on issues and life outside of one's own immediate, selfish, small little circle (yes, there IS a life outside of one own's sesne data!) Enjoyed this a lot. Loved the Biblical parrallels.

I don't uderstand some of the reviews, it is a great movie! The acting was not bad, and I found all the characters very real and 3 dimensional. The special effects were great, as is the action and the fight sequence was very well done. People who see plot holes are people who want every little thing explained to the fullest extent, and are just nitpicking. I felt this film was a mixture of several biblical stories, i.e. : Noah, Moses, Jesus, and I really liked it.

This is trully the worst movie I have EVER seen! And I'm usualy easily entertained... but this one really was a huge disappointement. There was no plot, no organisation, it just made me angry to sit there and wait for something to happen. Oh and the story line was just ridiculous, angels killing people... common! Just not a good movie. Sometimes interesting for 60 seconds, but over-all, a big disappointment. I'd only give it the 5 because of those brief visual moments, otherwise the disconnected and thin plot is only worth about a 3. The only good line in the movie is the explanation for why God might want to get rid of the human race," He's just tired of all the Bullsh*t", I confess that was a bright moment.
