Good action/adventure film. Chris Hemsworth is well cast as the title character, Tom Hiddleston is great as his brother Loki and Anthony Hopkins is good as Odin. Natalie Portman is always enjoyable, though this definitely doesn't challenge her. No surprises in the story, but this is not the type of movie you go to looking for surprises. The young assistant working for Portman's character supplies a few laughs, the action scenes are excellent. Overall it was a fun night out. The only piece of the film I found a little lacking was Thor's friends from Asgard. I really didn't feel they added much to the film.
