Frankly, I thought Drew Barrymore was better in E. T. than this, not to say she isn't a good actress, but this seems really, well, mailed in or something. James Woods was great, as always and Lorraine Bracco just fills the screen with her presence. Brittany Murphy was the runaway fav for me, she is a very young, growing talent that I bet we'll be seeing more and more of. Steve Kahn is better in comedies like Saving Silverman and Happy, Texas. This movie was disappointing because they went for the obvious, it's a great story, but I didn't feel for the character, she just seemed spoiled instead of challenged. Ummm, come to think of it, Barrymore did bring a lot to the role.
