I think this film would have benefitted from some imaginative editing. I nodded off a couple of times as I tried to keep up with the jumps in the story line. Devito & Hackman were excellent. Pidgeon reminded me of the stone faced acting of Donna Reed. A plus, the soundtrack does not jar your ear wax loose. All in all a barely satisfactory film.
