Some of my favourite books as a child were by E. B. White and many of his books deal with a common 'theme' - characters with challenges overcome them. In this, Louie, the swan cannot 'trumpet' so he learns to read & write, play a trumpet and redeems his fathers' good name. Stuart Little - he's dimunitive and well, a mouse. He deals. Charlotte's Web - Wilbur is saved from being a porkchop by making him into a star and Charlotte, who dies after laying eggs finds someone to take care of her babies. This film? Very good. Fast-moving, good values, good messages. Cheerful and sweet, perfect for young children.
