Coco was appealing, and the decision to focus on Chanel's early social ascension is cinematically interesting. Gorgeous camerawork.

After watching Audrey's performance, and the true character of coco emanating from her, you just stay breathless and say wow. And that's the best way I can describe it. Coco was a unique woman in her days, a true feminist if i've ever seen one and a real icon. If you are even remotely interested, go see it.

This was the best movie I saw this year, Audrey Tautou plays well the role of coco Chanel and if you like romance mixed with biography of a successful designer do not miss this , I highly recommend it.

Well.. I am 12 and I've been obsessed with Chanel for a few years now - I've always been in love with fashion itself and perhaps will have a career involving fashion in the future. I enjoyed this movie and I've been curious about the background of Coco Chanel so this helped me learn more about her and how she became the most famous/well known designer in the world. I do love other designers too but something about Chanel has always caught my eye.

Beautiful scenery and settings. Not much depth, so so acting. Expected much better.

I knew very little about her life before I saw this movie and I left the theatre feeling pretty much the same way. Although the acting is good and the settings are beautiful, there is very little substance to the story line. More emphasis should have been have placed on Coco's relationships and less on how many times she tried to leave the mansion. Too many tantelising plot lines that led nowhere. Disappointing.

Interesting movie! An excellent depiction of a Fabulous Lady’s life... It touched your heart tenderly with each scene.

Entertaining & romantic. Tells the story of Coco's developing style and destiny. The story fails to allude to the darker aspect of Coco's life: she was a Nazi co-conspirator arrested for war crimes (mysteriously they didn't stick) Putting that as a big aside, it's a captivating story of Coco's originality & success. I enjoyed seeing the time period unfold along with the characters' nuanced relationships. Go see.

I went to Coco Before Chanel because I have always been curious about high-end fashion. This movie was a bit too boring for me, but it was well done and the acting was very good. Unless you are a fan of Coco Chanel, or fashion in general, you may not want to see this movie. All in all, I'm glad I saw it but if I had missed it, it would be no big deal.

Visually delicious, superb acting in particular Ms. Tautou's, and well cast. The character and early life of Chanel realistically presented. The film provided an insight into the period. A gorgeous film.

The depiction of the affair which she had with Boy was delectable. I think this marks as a highlight of the film. Alessandro Nivola as Boy was commendable. Audrey Tautou did a fantastic job and played Chanel's nuances with elan. You will enjoy it if you thrive on romances. But the movie did not depict a fuller account of Chanel's life (even if you take the episodes before Chanel) For eg little was shown of Igor Stravinsky a ballet artist to whom she was introduced in 1920. Although she was rumored to have had an affair with this man, they could have shown him in the movie (maybe the director wanted to show her only one affair?) Her connections with the British aristocracy was also not shown. In all this was a good film.

I was expecting a lot more from this movie. Too much trivial information that was really... very uninteresting. The acting was mediocre.

A great movie. Didn't know much about "Coco" before only that she was a designer who has an established clothing/perfume line. Definitely a must see.

Pace a little bit slow. Audrey is excellent if Coco was ever this naive. Allessandro Nivola has all the sex appeal in this movie. Suzie.

I love Audrey Tautou! So credible! She one of the rare actresses that can express emotions so well (sorrow... joy... depression... nostalgia... and true romantic love).. For French movies amateurs (or not) go see it! It's worth it.

This was a good movie but the facts were a little mixed up (for those who read the books) - Tautou was great but I felt there was a lot missing from this film.

Excellent biography, rags to riches story of one of the most influential designers in the world. Tautou is as good as ever. A window into the world of fashion at the beginning of the last century.

I don't think "Coco" was as beautiful in real life as the actress. However, it is a beautiful portrayal through and through! I highly recommend it!
