Excellent movie, but very depressing. I thought it was going to be about the life of Iris Murdoch, but really it was about her descent into Alzheimer's disease. I would have preferred to see more about her early life--writing, meeting interesting people, etc. Be warned--the film is not about that. It's about her disease. And it's sad, sad, sad. You'll find yourself thinking about this film in the middle of the night!
