Proof, once again, that if you can make one good movie, you can make people pay for it again and again. Depp still does a great job playing Jack Sparrow, but Kiera Knightly and Orlando Bloom make the right call in saying goodbye to this. Geoffrey Rush sleepwalks through another turn as Barbossa, and although their seems to be an initial spark between Cruz and Depp, by the end of the movie that spark has gone out. Ian McShane turns in a good performance as Blackbeard, but the story is weak, and we've seen it all before.
