Not too much to say here - the story is very well known. The acting is what made the movie - and of course the CG made it very realistic. It's interesting how something that you would not think would be good to watch for 2 hours actually is (a couple of guys stuck in a space capsule for a few days)..

This is my absoute favourite movie. All the actors were amazing. To Me, seeing the NON technology that the people worked with was Amazing... And to survive, Amazing. True story with so much to offer... God Bless.

The Apollo 13 mission... a tragic event, which almost ended the lives of three young men... since I first had seen this film back in 1995, I was compelled by it's very essence of near death in space... Ron Howard was surly wise and creative to choose the right film makers to work on this story... it shows on screen... He has the command and patiance of a great film director... I m glad this film was acknowledged by the Acadamey for it's acheivement... 10 awards... unforunatly, Ron was passed for Best director... until know, for a beautiful Mind... that's great! And, I would say, this film, Apollo 13 is a Cinematic masterpiece, both in personal characterization, and large canvas storytelling... it still carries that monumental vibe. Inspiaring!

Apollo 13 is one to own. It's truly one of those great movies where every person is cast to perfection and the story line makes you wring your hands, cry, and laugh with the characters.

This, of course, is a typical Tom Hanks movie--corny to the nth degree. Although Hanks must be complemented for his acting ability, it is not put into any use here. I don't care about this movie. It is a Hollywood vehicle to promote patrotism at best, a bad decision by the film studio st worst. This movie has no style. It gives us no strong reason to give a hoot if they make it back to earth. And although we know the ending, does it need to be so painfully predictable? Ron Howard is a good director. He tries to show it here, but fails for the most part.

One of the few movies I could have turned around and watched again. Thrilling despite knowing how it turns out. Writing, cast, directing and the special effects of making them weightless was all phenomenal.

Yes I saw Appollo 13 about 3 times. I loved the actors and the realism of it. The zero gravity was very realistic and interesting and the characters fabulous. I was totally absorbed in that movie. Denise.

I just saw it last week when we had our film showing in our planetary phyics class. It was so great that I can not even figure out which part of the movie is fictional.

I've seen Apollo 13 so many times that I can't even count. I saw it for the first time when I was 11 and I was amazed by the whole thing. Never in my life has a movie ever touched me the way Apollo 13 has. The actors in amazed me and still do every time I watch it to this day. Tom Hanks is so amazing and kind. He is the one that inspired me when I was 7 to be an actress and I am still chasing that dream. I find it very awesome that one film can have such an effect on life. IF you haven't seen this yet you need to. Ü.

The original was GREAT - no question about it. The IMAX version was very disappointing. In re-editing the movie the editors have taken out what make the characters human and as a result interesting. If you have never seen it before, then it is not a bad introduction to the film. But for the best Apollo 13 experience, buy the DVD and watch the original at home on a decent system. It is evey bit as good a the over rated IMAX experience.

When I first saw Apollo 13, I was about 12, and it was downright amazing. I own it on both VHS and DVD, and it's one of the few films I can watch repeatedly and never get bored of. I know I'm taking a road trip on the 21st from Moncton to see it, and it WILL be worth it.

This was an excellent film-- Hanks shines (as always) and director Ron Howard captures the essence of a tense period in American History. This is a survival story of epic proportions. See it now!

I have seen this movie more than once and I thought it was very sad and kind of distracting to rest of the life of the real person who TRIED and succeed when he did not. Tom Hanks was just the perfect fit for this terrific movie!!! VERY UNDRESTANDING!!! Worth watching it again!

Apollo 13 is a very realistic representation of of what it must have been like during the 1971 spaceflight. I throughly enjoyed reliving the excitement, tension and relief that I remember when it was really happening.
