A strong story, and a fun story. What Catch Me If You Can faulters in is the ability of the characters to connect with the audience. In other words, the acting wasn't good.

This is one of my favourite movies of all time. Leo and Tom give performances of a lifetime. This is one people will be watching for years to come. Rent it, buy it, watch it over and over. It's hilarious, outstanding and unpredictable. A MUST SEE.

I absolutely loved this movie. It is a lot better if you read the book first though. It really makes you APPRECIATE this movie. It portrayed the characters very well. I just can't believe that Frank Abagnale actually did all that. He payed his price though. But I really think this movie is a must see! Tom Hanks did a good job playing the cop. Leonardo DiCaprio did an AWESOME job playing Frank W. Abagnale Jr. Anyone who didn't like this movie needs a catscan because it is the best I have seen in a long long time! I recommend you read the book as well. It is better than the movie by a lot just because it goes into the life more detailed. Enjoy! ~.

Though I've seen as many good movies by S. S. as I have seen the bad ones, I have to admit that this is one of his better films. As for the Leo's acting, he has really showned that there could be found some acting beneath that cheap heartbreaking character he always try's to be. All in all movie is good and it's worth seeing.

Great story. Good actors. Horrible film. Soundtrack is not used at all to bring the audience into the movie. Despite all the interesting things that happen it is presented at the pace of a funeral. What ever happened to Spielberg?

This is an unbelievably well done film, one of the greatest I have ever seen. It is just hilarious in everything about it, things that aren't supposed to be just are because of how mesmorizing the plot it is and how this young man achieves all the magnifacent feats. Spielberg really pulls a rabbit out of a hat in this one, I'm very impressed how easily he went from such dark films as A.I. and Minority Report to such a light and cheery film like Catch Me If You Can. The acting is the real hilight in this film, everyone in the cast deserves an award. Leonardo DiCaprio, who I always thought was crappy comes back with a stellar performance. Tom Hanks is sensational as usual and quite comical. Christopher Walken the best of the bunch shows us he is no slave to the type-cast of a gangster with a heart-felt performance as Abignale Sr. Do not miss this hilarious masterpiece, as it will become one of your favourites of all time, as it did me.

Great movie. I wasn't expecting much because Leonardo DiCaprio was in it (I don't really like those sappy love stories) But this movie blew me away. No sappy love story (at least not very long) , had good comedy and the actors were amazing.

It is SUCH a good movie! I went, thinking it would be really boring, but it was actually great! I loved it, it was really funny and I had a lot of fun, especially at the substitute french teacher part (go see the movie, it's excellent!!!)

A wonderful, wonderful movie. A must see and must own!!! I found it unbelievable that it was based on a true story. The things this man did was so... amazing! I was absolutely speechless of this man's skills. The opening credits part with the old style drawings and kind of stick people was something new that younger generations haven't seen and was a breath of fresh air and creativity. Yes, I know some may think I'm corny, but I thought it was a really good movie.

Catch Me If You Can is the latest Steven Spielberg film starring Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio. I quite enjoyed it. It was very entertaining, and I always am more satisfied with movies when they are based, at least in part, on something that really happened. In reviewing Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven, Roger Ebert wrote: 'Serious pianists sometimes pound out a little honky-tonk, just for fun. That's like what Steven Soderbergh is doing in "Ocean's Eleven."' I kind of feel like that's a bit of what Spielberg is doing here. I've found this the least thematically significant film he's directed since Jurassic Park, but that said it is very entertaining and the acting is excellent. Even DiCaprio, whom I don't normally like, was great. Even more so, I thought Christopher Walken's performance as DiCaprio's father was superb, and worthy of the supporting actor Oscar nomination and SAG award he received for the role. [...]
