I feel most critics and much of the movie going public have forgotten something very important about movies: they are entertainment! They are not real therefore you must suspend your reality while watching them, live in the moment. Who cares how old they are (anyone ever watch Friends or 90210, etc. ? ), how much is special effects, etc. ? It is fun and scary and cool. Do we think Robbie Coltrane is really a giant, except as a actor? Do we care who is behind the long flowing beard as long as we can believe it is Dumbledore? I want to believe. Even as an adult I think the Harry Potter books and movies are superb, ok, they left bits and pieces out, get used to it, have you read the next two books, even longer, hello. If you miss it, read the book again. It is entertainment that speaks to us about friendship, hope, magic, love and loss. Stop nitpicking every little thing and listen and watch it with the heart of a child, they know how to have fun. [...]
