Sometimes all you need is a simply idea to make a great film. This film is based on a man who is stuck in an airport terminal. Tom Hanks really makes this film, from his accent to his physical comedy, he is totally believable in this role and the attachments he makes with the others in the terminal make for a great story. The rest of the cast are all strong, especially Stanley Tucci who time and again gives great performances. One of the better films of 2004.

This is the most involving, touching, human dramas I've ever seen. Wonderfully humourous, and deeply moving, Tom Hank's is fantastic, but so are all the other people 'trapped' in the Terminal. A great story that leaves you breathless and makes you want to stand up and cheer! One of the greatest feel-good-movies of all time!

This was one of my best movie of Tom Hanks after his cast away. The script was well written, well directed but I was not satisfied by Catherine acting she needs to be improved, but overall the movie is worth seeing once only bcoz of Tom Hanks.

What is wrong with all these people writing bad reviews about this movie? Obviously, people have not understood the main concept of this movie. It was based on a true story, and it happened to a persian man. This story shows alot of great aspects that people just are ignoring completely. I think people should try to understand what the circumstances of this man trapped in an airport are. Fantastic movie. It DEFINITELY deserves a 10/10.

I just loved this movie! Although some scenes seem unrealistic, like the one where he builds this mega fountain all by himself in so little time, most of the movie is pretty down to earth. Tom Hanks is excellent and so talented! Some people might find it boring, but I just love to watch Tom Hanks in this kind of movie. A must see for me!

Glad I waited to rent this one. Light drama with a silly premise. I'm surprised Spielberg was attracted to doing this type of movie. Most of it was like a prison movie in disguise. Hanks has to learn how to survive and upstairs is the evil prison warden. Then there's a romantic subplot with Zeta Jones that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Then it turns into another movie after he leaves the airport. It didn't really work for me.

The Terminal was on track to receive an 8/10, but it just drags on too long at the end. Tom Hanks is great as usual and the supporting cast, especially Stanley Tucci as the uptight, officious little [...] commissioner is fantastic. The movie's better when Catherine Zeta Jones isn't in it (I look at her and all I see is Michael Douglas' wrinkled butt) and unfortunately she appears a lot in the last third of the picture. Still, an entertaining, light-hearted, sometimes silly little movie that's definitely worth seeing for $1.15. Go check it out.

I loved this. Tom Hanks is such an actor! I felt homesick with him... and I'm home! I'm glad he didn't 'get the girl'. That would have made the longing he felt for home less convincing. Great to see someone in an American film not decide that America is the best place to be. Realistic.

Great Movie. I saw it in french but I rather write it in english. Tom Hanks does a good job with his character. His Russian accent is hilarious and the plot is unheard of. It is a little annoying the way they set the movie up with a series of forced happenings but once it is set up, it's very good. It gets a little long at one point which is why I didn't give it a 9 but the ending is classic and fun. All in all, good movie.

This picture attempts to put in focus the touching moments of human interaction that occur between people within a context of the hurrying mass of humanity contained within the airport terminal. I liked how Director Steven Spielberg uses the airport as a society in microcosm. After all, an airport is in itself like a small city containing many of our material needs and most of our important societal functions. Still, Im not really sure what Spielberg is trying to say with this film. Terminal seemed to me more of an opportunity to showcase the acting ability of his good friend Tom Hanks and promote a lot of retail store chains that probably paid a bundle to be showcased in this rather slight movie.

Now. I am a guy just like you other guys. I like beer, and hockey and the rest of that. But for those of you who don't know this, Im going to let you in on a little secret. Movies like The Terminal, are movies that are well done, funny, romantical and basically a get outta jail free pass for with your old lady. Now Im not saying that just any romantic comedy will work, no no... quite to the conterary. If you were to pick a Bad romantic comedy you'd be right back in the dog house. This movie is a must see, it is definitely one of the years best. Is it Tom Hank's best preformance? Probably not, but he does make the character beleiveable, (besides learning english in 2 days) For those of you who did not understand what he was saying, I guess you missed half the plot to the movie and some pretty damned funny stuff. I am a guy just like you, I like beer, Hockey and actually laughing in a movie theater. 9/10 -probably because the rest of the romantic comedies will be total and utter garbage.

Dumbest movie of the year. Everything is just so contrived... Tom Hanks is supposed to be a very good actor, but I sure don't se it. Why are all the secondary characters all helping this doofus out at the end? Furthermore there is just no plausible reason why the Stanley Tucci character is always harassing him... aside for the story's (if you could call it that) need for the obligatory bad guy... and are we to believe that Catherine Zeta Jones would actually be interested in this pathetic clown? Who gives a crap what this guy hides in his peanut box... oooh, it just had to be something corny. Nope, this thing is crap all the way!

Very good movie. Tom Hanks pulls of the Viktor Navorski character very well. The supporting cast of airport workers were all very diverse and interesting. I was dissapointed with Catherine Zeta-Jones, she has very limited acting skills, and she really didn't do much to help the film. Not the best movie out there, but worth the price of admission.

Another great movie that Tom Hanks played, it's as good as Castaway. I can't image how Hanks speak english like a english as a second language person. I think it's not easy to do this. I also feel a bit irony to the U. S bureaucracies and the white collar.

Man, what is going on here? Tom Hanks + Steve Spielberg = 10/10. After I watched the movie, it seem Tom and Steve are not a great match after all. The movie does has some few funny momments but the love chemistry for the characters are too fictional. What with Tom Hanks' accent? "I DON"T FREAKIN UNDERSTAND U MOST OF THE TIME." Disappointing movie!!!

Okay... what is WRONG with people? Good acting? I don't think so. I love Tom Hanks (and Castaway) but even he couldn't save this totally unbelievable, cheesy, boring movie. Zeta-Jones was TERRIBLE and the character she portrayed was an insult to (classy, intelligent) women. The movie was 'different' and it was all filmed on a set, so I'll give it that, but don't bother wasting your time or money! The Notebook- now there is a good movie!

Good film. Funny moments. Nicely played by Tom Hanks. Could have been truly great if it were not for the strategicly plotted cheesy Hollywood moments. Zeta-Jones could have single handedly brought down the film with her terrible acting. Should have had a smaller role-- *horrendous* acting. Everyone else is great.

I thought this movie was well written, and definitely well acted. I laughed outloud at times, which is unusual for me. While some outcomes of the movie could be guessed, I was pleasantly entertained and surprised by how well other events played out. I was entertained and would recommend this film to anyone. At the time I wrote this review, the score was 7.7, which I found surprisingly low. I thought Tom Hanks might even be Oscar material for this role. Go and see the film, you'll enjoy it.
