Great performances, especailly Schwimmer (this coming from not a "Friends" fan. The student at the end scares me. Is this the future of our youth? Too bad the rest of the movie was mediocre.

A good movie, worth seeing but doesn't live up to the book at all. Some disturbing scenes of life in the camps and the evil extremes that a young boys mind will go to.

I think it's amazing how movies like this are able to create in you such intense feelings. I really felt at some point things that I'm sure the caracters of the novel should have felt.

It was alright. It's not a stupid movie for sure. Nice adaptation from the Stephen king's novel. Watch it on video.

This movie was nowhere near as good as the book. I anticipated better.

After reading Stephen King's novella first, I was extremely excited for this movie, and I was expecting big things. The book was one of the greatest I have ever read, and it scared me mad. Unfortunately, the movie did not live up to my expectations. Ian KcKellan was fantastic, but that's the movie's only saving grace. The ending disappointed me immensely... Not true to the book, and very weak. The adaptation in general was weak. Read the book and forget the movie.

This is such a great movie. It just showes you how much a person can do at any age. Also that Peoples privacy's are important, they have secrets for a reason. So don't push it are you may regret it.

With a star like McKellen and a director like Singer, this should have been a far more subtle film about the nature of evil. Instead it consistently takes the easy way out with shock value instead of real insight. Not worth the $$, IMO.

A decent interpretation of King's novella. Performance by McKellan was excellent. Somewhat uneven per plotline; viewer is often held clueless as to events - direction could have been better.

This movie was just amazing! I haven't read the novella but was told how it ended after having seen the movie. It is obviously hard to translate Stephen King's genius into film but this one was, to my opinion, quite well done. Ian Mc Kellan is freaky as the former nazi who sure hasn't forgotten the spirit of his lost years...

IMHO, a dissappointing adaptation of a very good novella. However, the acting is excellent. The film is haunting, but, however, unable to fulfill this feeling to the viewer to the point one would generally expect of a Steven King story.

Slow un peu comme vue mais cool quand même. L'acting est très bon. Essayer de lire le livre, à ce qui parait il est different (+violent).
