This movie is just incredible. Every character was very well developed. You can understand their struggle, their purpose and their love. There is not one 2-dimensional character in this movie. Bravo to Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. I couldn't imagine other actors playing the same part, especially Ewan McGregor. He is just simply amazing. The songs are a mix of everything but well blended and it's something I have never seen before (I have to clarify that I am a musical's fan and I have watched a lot of musicals, stage or movie). It's a love story. I usually hate romantic movie because I feel that the way they shows "love" on the big screen is usually should be considered "passion" or "sex", and most of the time it seems unreal. Now, "Moulin Rouge" is sort of a fantasy-life musical. And yes, their loves are also glorified, but somehow, it manages to move me. It's a great movie. Go see it.
