This story could have made a way too better musical. The songs they used sucked. Music was so childish and so artificially put into the story that you cannot get into it. This could have been a masterpiece but luhrmann ruined it just like he ruined romeo and juliette. I mean this guy shoots great pictures, he gives you great scenes but there's something wrong with him that makes all his movies look so artificial and gets you far away from that picture instead of taking you in.
